Heart of the Home
The KITCHEN....the busiest, most important room in your home. It is the gathering place and everyone always seems to end up standing in the kitchen...whether you cook or not, it draws you in and makes you feel comfortable. No doubt this week that most of us will be spending a lot of tme in the kitchen preparing or at least unpackaging Thanksgiving food. While it is one of the most expensive rooms in the house to renovate, there are some things that can be done without breaking the bank, but that will give your space a fresh new look.
Add cabinetry to an existing kitchen. If your space doesn't work, but you don't want to rip out the entire kitchen, figure out the problem areas and use creative color and a different door design to add onto your existing cabinetry.
Change the color of your cabinetry, simply painting out the existing cabinetry in your kitchen can give the space a whole new, fresh look. The cost is far less than replacing the entire kitchen, but it could breathe new life into the space.
Get new countertops, the change of tops can make the whole space look refreshed. A countertop change can be costly, but it will be worth having one of the biggest surfaces in your kitchen feel updated.
Change the knobs on your cabinets. The knobs are what I like to call the jewelry of the kitchen, those little accessories are functional and beautiful and can make all the difference.
Add or change the backsplash. Tile goes a long way and can add style to any kitchen space. The backsplash is both functional and beautiful!
